NEW YORK CITY
New York City is the largest city in the United States with a population of over 8’000.000
people. It is mostly known for its status as a financial, cultural,transportation, and
manufacturing center, and for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United
States. New York is busy 12 months a year, 24 hours a day. There are more than 25museums. Many people come to see a show at a Broadway theatre. This is a noisy city,
but it is easy to travel around N.Y. by bus, taxi or subway. And enjoy sightseeing the tallbuildings on it. Most of the New Yorkers are very spontaneous and Friendly and the
hotels aren’t expensive though, thousands and thousands of visitors come here to see
the capital ofthe world.
New York is bordered by New Jersey and Pennsylvania to the south, and by
Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont to the east.
