21 only the individuals defined below are authorized to carry in - cabin firearm (s) aboard united aircraft.
unauthorized individuals will be required to place the unloaded weapon (s) in their checked baggage.

note : any u.s federalagency whichas an enforcement branch may carry - on a firearm. if in doubt please contact socc prior to denying boarding.

law enforcement officers / leo / of state, country or local governments must submit a national law enforcement telecommunications system / nlets / message to the tsa prior to travel. the rsa is responsible for verifying the leo has submitted the nlets message and is elegible to travel armed. co nolonger requires an original letter or authority from the agency employing the leo.
a badge, shield or siilar device is not acceptable as the sole means of identification.
the leo/s badge and credential must be issued by the same agency, service, or department, however, the credential number may not match the officer/s badge number.

at the orginating station have each leo complete the the cms508 form and ensure they fill it out completely, for each customer authorized to carry a direarm onboard the airgraft.
