LONDON A GREAT CITY

For my English class I read about London like you know it´s the capital of Gran Britain. London in the south east of Britain, isone of the great cities of the world. At more than 1,500 square Kilometers, it is the biggest city in Europe, more than 25% of the people in London were not born there, and many people come fromother countries and they live in every areas of the city. You can hear more than 250 languages on the streets of London, this city is chaining all the time.
London is an old city, with a long andinteresting story. Reading this book I can learn about the city´s people and its building. I can talk about several themes one of them is the river Thames it´s runs through the center of the city from westto east. In past times the Thames was a great road of water this road brought people to London and many things from around the world like, tea, sugar, wood and a lot of money. The river helped Londonmany ways, but it also brought problems for year’s people threw thing into it. The cities toilets ray in the river too, the river was very dirty and the water was dangerous. Now days things are verydifferent, the water is cleaner, fishing and swimming in the Thames again.
The story of London being before the roman Julius Caesar arrived in Britain in 55 BC, because there were people, in the areanear the river Thames, some people think that Cesar built the first bridge across the river 88 years later romans came to Britain and the river Thames was important to them so they started to build atown there. They gave the name Londinium (the name “London”).
London is one of the theatre capitals of the world; most of the long theatres are in the “West-End” there are more than fifty theatres inthis area.
In the 1500 important people in the church didn´t like the theatre, so there were no theatres inside London’s city walls. James Burbage built the first theatre, outside the walls, in...
