1. General objectives

Our goal is to promote an approach Through capacity building, technical and research, the overall objective of the proposal is: To promote the ecological restoration of the flora of private property and adjacent areas,through the reintroduction of plants (ornamental, medicinal, economic), to strengthen and gain recognition as a private conservation area, something that would place us among the first initiative in the context of ecology.

2. specific objectives

• Implement a training and capacity building of local people for knowledge about ecological restoration, which allows the conservation and propermanagement of plant resources in the area.
• Understand the diversity of plant species in the area of influence, through an extension of floristic inventories we have been doing in the area, allowing us to define the plant to be considered in restoration.
• Reintroduce native plant species in the area, with great economic potential, medicinal, ornamental and restoration in selected areas that allowsfor an improved quality of life of local people concerned.

3. HISTORY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MACARENA

GEOGRAPHY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MACARENA.
It is located in the department of Meta, in the jurisdiction of the municipalities of La Macarena, Plateaus, having beautiful San Juan de Arama, and Puerto Rico. It has a total area of ​​1,019,036 hectares between 400 and 1,400 meters with a climate of tropical rainforest and a temperature of 17 º c.

It is part of the La Macarena NationalPark was created to conserve the biodiversity of these areas in the Andean and Amazonian different ecosystems and their fauna and flora.

CLIMATE OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF MACARENA.
