VERBS WITH GERUNDS OR INFINITIVES

NOUN SUFFIXES

INTRODUCCION
In this class I am going to explain my classmates about gerunds and infinitives because we need tounderstand when and how we can use this verbs in the different forms.
Also I will explain my classmates about the noun suffixes because sometimes we need to get new information and this could help us tounderstand more English and to improve our knowledge and to learn the different forms of the verbs we are going to use in a future.
OBJECTIVES:
* Use correctly the noun suffixes to improve ourknowledge.
* Understand when and how we can use the gerunds and infinitives with the different verbs.
* Learn the differences between gerunds and infinitives and get new vocabulary from them.Vocabulary:
Kind:
A group of individuals or instances sharing common traits; a category or sort: different kinds of furniture; a new kind of politics
Enormous:greatly exceeding the common size, extent, etc.; huge;immense: an enormous fortune.

Owner:
A person who owns, possessor, proprietor.

Guess:To arrive at or commit oneself to an opinion about(something) without having sufficient evidence to supportthe opinion fully: to guess a person's weight.

Avoid: To keep away from; keep clear of; shun: to avoid a person; toavoid taxes; to avoid danger.
Dislike:To regard with displeasure, antipathy, or aversion: I dislikeworking. I dislike oysters.

GRAMMAR
1. Some verbs (remember, stop) can be followed by a second verb in either the gerund or infinitive form. The form of the second verb depends onthe meaning of the sentence.

Example:

I stopped to watch the news headlines. ( I was doing something (my homework/talking to my parents)when the news started. I stopped the first activitybecause I wanted to watch the headlines.)
I stopped watching TV and went to bed. (I was watching TV. I was tired so I turned off the TV and went to bed.)
