The punctualitylead successful lives, doesn't it? But, maybe the colombian people don't know this. They have a big problem, they aren't punctual! At the moment, it's customary in Colombia that the people arrive lateto different places. For instance: Many times the last year in dinners, the foreign people finished to eat and the colombians hadn't yet arrived. In trips, the tours started and they hadn't gone outof their houses yet. Hence that, the tourists that come to Colombia say us: you are unpunctual, aren't you?
This fault is most obvious and disgraceful when you have an appointment with a german thereason is in Germany everybody loves to be punctual, they've always hated that a person is never on time. Maybe, the colombian people hated this, too, don't they? In business trips is very impolitethat a client have that wait for you and it's very offensive when the people call the client and with an excuse, they say: I'm sorry, I can't arrived on time or I can't go.
The unpunctuality is a badhabit in Colombia. You can find unpunctual people in the School, in the Job, in the University etc. the worst is that the colombian society doesn't reproach this attitude. The people believe thatbecause other people arrive late, the unpunctuality is a right. But, the colombian people shouldn't forget that a little people are very punctual and always arrive on time. In other words, the peoplemustn't accept the behavior unpunctual, the punctual people should punish this act.
As far as I know, when you travel to Colombia you need a little patience with them because they aren'tpunctual.
