THE BUGA’S LIGHTHOUSE

Good afternoon, this time we are a beacon
of which they speak Buga, I hope you enjoy it. The lighthouse
is the main viewpoint of the city, since you can appreciatethe beauty of the historic area, the river manager, the natural
landscape, the hill of the lake collapsed and dumb. It was built
in tribute to Dr. Alejandro Cabal Pombo (one of the pioneers of
theroad to fortune)

Dr. Alejandro Cabal Pombo buga born in 1897 and died
in Palmyra in 1950, lawyer former minister of war in 1929 and
visionary promoter. Consecrate his whole life to serviceand permanent protection of the interests of the city.

His heart is in the basilica of señor de los milagros which also
houses the plaque marking the site that bears his name 0km.

- As you cansee, this monument is magnificent night lighting,
a comfortable granite benches and 4 pine trees around.

- The construction of the lighthouse began in 1954 to 1969.

- The lighthouse is builtof Bogota, was restored and opened to
visitors on March 3, 2001.

-is about 29 meters high from the base to the floor of
the veranda, or 35 to the tip of the flagpole, 132 stairways,
22 skylightsand 14 columns.

- The lighthouse is adjacent to Guadalajara, a five star hotel.
- Has an altitude of 969 meters above sea level

- From there you can see the beautiful Guadalajara de Buga.
