2.Two Friends

What are the names of the two people in the artist's studio? What do you know about each of these people? Basil Hallward and Lord Henry
Basil and Lord were good friends. They studied at Oxford University together and they were both about thirty years old.
Basil worked very hard, and he was a well-know artist. Lord didn't work at all and was a richman. He was called Harry by his friends.

The artist is painting a portrait. He doesn't want to show this portrait in an art gallery. Why not? Because the picture it shows too much of him.

The artist doesn't want his friend to meet the young man. Why? Because Dorian is the most important for Basil and he need him for working. Harry's never serios and you say strange things.

2.A VeryBeautiful Young Man

What does Dorian Gray look like? Dorian Gray look like a life-sized portrait of yourself.

Lord Henry Wotton tells Dorian how to live his life. What does he tell him? Lord Henry told him than must enjoy his life and must live your own life. Also he told than her must not worry about what other people think.

Lord Henry tells Dorian, You mustn't get burned by the sun. Whydoes he say this? Because his skin was pale then he will be have his face winkle.

3.The Picture of Dorian Gray

How does Dorian feel when he first looks at he portrait? He felt peased, he smiled at the painting because he saw that he was a beautiful and young man.

Dorian remembers what Harry said in the garden. How does Dorian feel about the portrait now? He would be old and wrinkle andugly. Then Dorian hate the picture.

Dorian makes a wish. What does he wish? Dorian wish that the picture could grow old instead of me. He would give your soul.

Basil says, You have made me hate my best painting.

a)What does Basil decide to do? Basil pick up a knife he was going to cut up the picture an destroy it.

b)What does Dorian do? Dorian ran across and pull the knife fromBasil's hand.

4.Sibyl Vane

Harry sees Dorian many times in the next few weeks. What does Harry do and why? Harry wanted the young man to listen to him again and again. Because Harry think that Dorian was going to be very rich.

Dorian tells Harry that he has fallen in love. Who has Dorian fallen in love with?
He fall in love with actresses. Her name is Sibyl Vane.

What do Harry andDorian arrange to do the next night? They will go tomorrow night at seven o'clock at the theatre with Basil.

Harry gets a telegram. What does the telegram tell him? The telegram said that Dorian was engaged to be married to Sibyl Vane.

5.Brother and Sister

Why is Mrs.Vane worried about Sbyl and James? She's worry because his son James is going away to Australia and her daughter have fallenin love the young man.

Why is James angry with Sibyl? Because he's love her and he don't want that she's love the young man.

What does Sibyl call Dorian? She called Dorian because want meet his brother, James.

Why does James wish that he had seen Dorian in the park? Because he says that it he ever hurts her sister he will died.

6.At the Theatre

What goes wrong at the theatre ? Theact the Sibyl the play was very badly. She didn't act well. What do Harry and Basil do? They left the theatre and they went home. After the play, Dorian goes to Sibyl's room. What does he do and say? Dorian went to her room behind the stage for spoke with her. He said that she was boring and stupid and now he doesn't love for her. She lay on the floor crying.

7. Things Are Changing

Dorianlooks at the portrait. Why does he do this? Because he was upset, angry and confused and then he walked along the hall and through the library where was the portrait. Why does Dorian suddenly remember the day that Basil finished the picture? Because the face in the painting had changed. It looked unkind and cruel. Dorian gets a letter from Harry. What does he do with it and why? He decided not...
