Ingredients To Make Arepas
2 pounds of precooked white cornmeal
2 ½ cups of warm water
3 ½ cups of warm milk
2 tablespoons ofsugar
2 tablespoons of butter
Salt to taste
2 pounds of white cheese cut in little pieces
the origin of the word arepa, it´s given from theAmerindian "erepa" meaning “corn” basic ingredient of the preparation of arepas

Preparing the Dough:
The flouris placed in a bowl with salt and sugar . the milk and the water are added gradually .and mixed with the other hand.

In 5 minutes let stand the dough
The dough is divided into smalls to medium
-Then the balls have to be flatten in a shape of wheel or disc, with an alternating claps hands together
once ready the dough is placed on aplate.The procedure have to be done with all the balls
a few pieces of cheese are taken and placed in the center of the wheel and putthe other wheel on top, so to cover the cheese. Finally the two wheels are glued, to form cheese arepa filled,
and close with the fingers,then the arepas are placed over the grill Heat until they acquire a golden on both sides
* Serve with a cup of hot chocolate or a latte.
