1. INTRODUCTION:

A) OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY:

• FIELD WHERE IT OPERATES:The tourism and social responsibility is a new facet in which the citizens from developed countries are available to give priority to their trips. Now the history, the treat we give to the environment and the workers that are behind the hotel in which they work are special factors in the decision of a client.

Inkaterra is a touristic company that offers a range ofservices that are unique here in Peru because they receive foreign people not in the traditional way other touristic companies do. This company doesn’t sell tourism, they offer particular experiences to the visitors such as an approximation to the nature and culture of the cities that have special attention for only a little bit more money.

• HISTORY:

For more than 30years. Inkaterra has been the leader of the promotion of tourism in Peru with Inkaterra Machu Picchu, in the heart of clouds forest andino, the Inkaterra Amazon Park, in Madre de Dios river in the Amazonia forest, and the Inkaterra La Casona, in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, Inkaterra has presented the natural marvelous of Peru to a mile of people.

Since 1975 Inkaterra has improveprograms for the preservation of the Amazonia and the Global Warming.

Inkaterra protects around of 17,000 h. of forest and in that way they reduce the emission of carbon.

Every year Inkaterra has around 65000 visitors and the company provides them authentic and natural experiences and at the same time it rescues, presents and promotes Peruvian culture.Nowadays as a result of its long history as a world leader. Inkaterra has the support of International Finance Corporation Group of World Wide-Bank and Global Environmental Facility of the United Nations and National Geographic Society.

• OBJECTIVE

Inkaterra has many objectives that we can divide in two: Environment objectives and Social objectives.ENVIRONMENT OBJECTIVES:

• To prevent the global warming by using ecological technology.

• Indirect and direct protection of Peruvian forest.

• Offer a ecotourism be responsible of the environments and culture.

SOCIAL OBJECTIVES:

• To give the hosts and friends the opportunity tolearn about Peruvian culture.

• To maintain the scientific research.

• Give development opportunities to Peruvian people so while they are working they will be also learning more about our culture.

• Find touristic attractions in Peru and make them to be world attractions.

• Generate memorable moments in thevisitors.
