Follow the steps below to install Microsoft Active Directory Server*. 1. Go to ProgramsAdministrative Tools Configure Your Server.

A window similar to the one following will appear.

2. Scroll down and click on Start the Active Directory wizard.

3. Welcome to the Active Directory Installation Wizard window will appear. continue.

4. The Domain Controller Typewindow will let you add a new domain controller. If there is an existing Domain Controller then select Additional Domain Controller for an existing domain. Otherwise click Next to continue. Note: For thepurpose of this installation, this is a newly installed server; hence, the button for “Domain Controller for a new domain” is selected.

5. Select Create a new domain tree and click Next to continue.IG030509 Version 2.0

6. Select Create a new forest domain trees.Click Next to continue.

7. Enter the Full DNS name for the new domain, for example, gnpslab.com. Click Next to continue.

8. Enter the required Domain NetBIOS name, for example, GNPSLAB. Click Next to continue.

9. Use the defaultlocations specified. Click Next to continue.
