Zion National Park is located in the southwestern United States, while in the south regions of Utah and Dixie Canyon County. This parkprotects a stunning rock formations and cliffs, are sandstone, making it a favorite place for visitors to go hiking, rock climbing and are backpackers, because it has one of the most impressive road systemparks around the country.
And is that tourists will walk by this place the canyon floor, looking up and not vice versa as in many other parks. In addition to viewing their cliffs and monoliths, aswell as its desert landscapes. The easiest way to get there is the airport of the city of St. George in Utah and renting a car from there, because there is no public buses that come to the park.However, transportation to tourist agencies sent there so that you can join a group of them.
The total area covers 593.26 km ². The main attraction of the park is Zion Canyon, a slot of 24 kilometerslong and up to 800 meters deep carved by the Virgin River north branch of red sandstone on land. Other attractions are the Great White Throne, the Virgin River Narrows and Kolob Arch. In the area ofZion and Kolob canyons are nine aged formations dating from 150 million years, from sedimentation occurred during the Mesozoic Era. During that time, the region was covered by swamps, streams, ponds, lakes,vast deserts and dry beds. Induced elevations of Colorado plate rose about 3,000 m region 13 million years ago.

I think that this park is a beautiful, but mostly for backpackers, is a cannon, in the center is a history museum where people can learn about human activity in that area...
