Mock Interview Questions
Directions: Pretend that you are a job candidate for an English-teaching position and are asked the following nine questions. It could befor a public or private school and for any level of instruction that you would prefer (preschool, elementary/primary, or high school/secondary English) Respond asyou would in a formal, professional job interview, creating responses that are appropriate both in length and formality of structure and vocabulary utilized. Rememberto refer to the vocabulary and concepts that we have utilized thus far this year in relation to describing jobs, business foundation and development, professionalethics, and appropriate interview language.

Interview Questions:
Interviewer: Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Interviewer: What caught yourattention in regards to this position?

Interviewer: Tell me a little more about some of your professional ambitions.

Interviewer: Can you tell me alittle bit about some of your past work experience and how it will contribute to our business?

Interviewer: What do you think is an imperative personalquality or skill that you think an employee should have to be successful in the position for which you are applying?

Interviewer: Tell me about one ofyour weaknesses.

Interviewer: How about educational experiences? Tell me about how you think something that you have studied will help you in this workenvironment?
