Mission Statement
“As an educator, I will help my students to learn at their full potential and be sure they leave myclassroom having learned something every day. I will be sure my students take something that will better prepare them for their future.”
Vision Statement
“I want to teach in a way that students learn toenjoy history and come out of the classroom having learned something new. They will work with one another in hopes to help build their social skills. Every student will comfortable and able to expressthe thoughts freely without being ridiculed. My classroom will be a safe and fun environment for each of my students, one that they will enjoy coming to each and every day. Each student will leave myclassroom having learned something that they can utilize in the future, whether it is social or educational. I will push for each of my students to succeed and reach their highest potential”
My Goalsfor Professional Growth
I want to achieve both my mission and vision statements as well as many other things. I want each of my students to really enjoy history and love coming to class. In order forme to succeed, I have to be sure to make my classroom a fun learning environment where students feel comfortable. I also have to be prepared for each class period and ready for anything that isthrown at me. Teaching high school can be very rewarding if one is prepared. Another goal I have is to continue to learn for each of my students. They can teach me so much and I have to keep in open mind.I need to allow the students to state their opinions and use it to lead discussion. This will not only make the class more enjoyable but also interesting.
Another goal I have is to allow my studentsto learn from one another. I have to change my teaching style up and not get stuck just lecturing all the time. Every student learns differently therefore teaching methods need to be changed. As an...
