INTRODUCTION TO SOCIOLOGY Social Sciences Emphasis
¿WHAT DOES THE SOCIOLOGY STUDY?
Sociology is the study of human social life, groups and societies. Also studies the behavior.
As socialscience and try to clarify what is not by addressing the different labels imposed by society throughout its history. You will generally think of the sociologist as a person who works to help people, as a"monk progressive" but according to the author, this statement is fraught with ambiguity and that sociological research can serve to help people or for "damage it" depending on how you see. The fieldof sociology is extremely wide, from the chance encounters between individuals to research global process. The sociology is one of the Social Sciences, is primarily concerned with human society, andmore specifically, the various communities, associations, groups and social institutions that humans create. It also studies the human being to the extent that social condition must be explained, andthe results of their intentions and behavior. Study the social dimension of the human, the level of reality related to their innate sociability. Subject is the human being as a social animal. All socialsciences take as their starting point the study of man as a social being, that is, the study of communities, though, each of which makes different emphasis on various aspects. So economicsinvestigates the processes of production, barter, exchange and consumption of goods and services under which a given society serves certain needs.
THE CULTURE
The Culture is the set of all shapes, models orpatterns, explicit or implicit, through which a society regulates the behavior of individuals within it.
As such it includes customs, practices, codes, standards and rules of how to be, dress,religion, rituals, and norms of behavior and belief systems. From another point of view we can say that culture is all the information and skills that humans possess.
