Foreing Direct Investment in Latin America.
The inflow of FDI represents investments made by foreign residents (usually foreign firms) in a particular country over a certain period of time with the purpose of acquiring a lasting management interest in the affairs of the enterprise in which the funds are invested. FDI thus involves some long-term foreign ownership or control over the decisionsmade by domestic firms receiving the foreign capital. Overall, flows of FDI have traditionally constituted a small fraction of the financial resources flowing to developing countries, including Latin America.
FDI often brings new inputs and production processes when it flows into a country. This provides foreign firms with an initial advantage over domestic producers. At the same time, onepossible gain to the national economy is through the transmission or transfer of the new technology to domestic firms in the same industry. The empirical evidence on whether FDI benefits national firms through transfers of technology is mixed.

Economic analysts suggest that so Costa Rica continued to attract foreign investment we need the country to improve bilingual education, facilitate migratory and trade procedures and continueto integrate into the world economy.
On the other hand Panama, in recent years the investment effort has been significant, because throughout 2008 investors from other countries invested approximately 2.2 billion dollars in Panama, an increase of 15% with respect to invert until 2009. In general, foreign investment in Panama is growing in recent years, Spain, Nicaragua and United States to becountries that are more betting on Panama. United Kingdom continues to be the main investor, although in recent years the total invested has increased less than the aforementioned countries.
In Uruguay, the Government has taken measures to encourage private investment, providing a framework of security and promoting a particularly favourable policy towards foreign investment. FDI in Uruguayshows a striking evolution, while still observed trends in the other countries of the region, distinguished by the relative intensity of registered change. If a situated economy including minor capital received, its process of transnationalization has become particularly intense, moreover foreign investment in Uruguay recovered their dynamism during 2010 and accumulated an important expansion.
Whyselect Mexico?
On this chart, I decided to select as best option of country to carry out a foreign investment Mexico, still not the best in Latin America but it is who has better expectations between the countries seen on this chart since their investment year after year have been considered volume.
