RESUMEN

Colombia es uno de los países con mayor diversidad en fauna y flora, según registros,Colombia es el cuarto país con mayor diversidad de mamíferos y en ellos se encuentra diferentes órdenes y familias, en esta investigación se habla acerca del mono nocturno (Aotus vociferans), de la familia Aotidae y en el orden de Primates. Esta es una especie propia de la Amazonia, la cual cumple una función de dispersor de semillas y así contribuye a la diversidad de flora en su hábitat, poreste motivo se considera importante para el equilibrio del medio ambiente. De igual forma, se habla sobre todo lo que tenga que ver con esta especie. Se comparan algunas afirmaciones entre diferentes autores para corroborar sus opiniones acerca del mono nocturno. Todo esto con el fin de analizar diferentes características físicas; comportamientos; la reproducción en cautiverio y en libertad; lasprincipales amenazas que presenta esta especie por diferentes factores, incluyendo por la intervención del hombre en su hábitat para diferentes fines; la clasificación según las organizaciones encargadas de analizar el estado de conservación de esta especie, tales como el Comercio Internacional de Especies Amenazadas de Fauna y Flora Silvestres CITES y la Unión Internacional para la Conservación dela Naturaleza UICN.Palabras claves: Amenazas, Diversidad, Especie, Hábitat y Mamíferos.


ABSTRAC

Colombia is one of the countries with the greatest diversity in fauna and flora, according torecords, Colombia is the fourth country with the greatest diversity of mammals and they are divided in orders and families. In this research speaks about the night monkey (Aotus vociferans) of Aotidae family and in the order of Primates. This is a species of the Amazonia, which plays a role in seed dispersal and thus contributes to the diversity of flora in their natural habitat, for this reason it isconsidered important for the balance of the environment. Similarly, it talks about everything that relate to this species. They are compared some statements from different authors to corroborate their opinions about the night monkey. All this in order to analyze different physical characteristics; behavior; reproduction in freedom and captivity; the main threats to this species by different factors,including the intervention of man in his habitat for different purposes; classification according to the organizations responsible for analyze the state of conservation of this species, such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora CITES and the International Union for Conservation of Nature IUCN.
