Invictus is a film that can be classify as a Drama – History movie, it was produced by Clint Eastwood, Lori McCreary, Robert Lorenzand Mace Neufeld and directed by Clint Eastwood.
Invictus is a movie based on the book “ Playing the Enemy” by John Carlin, that relates the story about how Nelson Mandela, The first Black Presidentof the South Africa and the first democratically elected president, confronted the racial hatred situation that his country lived. Its Principal characters are Nelson Mandela, President of SouthAfrica played of Morgan Freeman and Francois Piennar captain of South African Rugby Team, played by Matt Demon.
In 1995 had recently finished the Apartheid in South Africa, and the country was dividedracially and economically, an at the same time, this year the country was the host of the world cup of Rugby, and Mandela thought that this sport event was the best opportunity to join the Africanswith the same goal.
In order to materialize his idea, Mandela joined with Francois Piennar, captain of the Springboks, South African Rugby Team and decided to support the team and publically he cheatedthe team.
However, Mandela had confronted two problems, first the team was weak and second the majority of the African Population “The Black Africans” identified the sport, the players and thespringboks with the Apartheid.
Under these circumstances Mandela and Francois worked to make a strong team that could be a good candidate to win the cup, and also to eliminate the bad filing the Africansabout the team and the sport.
