What He Did and Still Does . . . (Sir Isaac Newton)

Some people may ask themselves; who was Isaac Newton? Why do they talk so much about him? Or what did he dothat was so important? Well, that;’ what I’m going to be writing about right here, right now, but more specifically I shall be writing about what he contributed tothe Scientific Revolution and his impact on society.

Sir Isaac Newton born in the year 1642 and died in the year 1727 contributed plenty to the world. He was anEnglish physicist, mathematician, and natural philosopher; he was considered one of the most important scientists of all time. One of Newton’s greatestcontributions to the Scientific Revolution was when he discovered that when light passed through a prism, the light turns into a wide band of colors called a spectrum.Therefore, he created the first reflecting telescope. Newton also made a huge impact on modern society in astronomy by defining the laws of motion and universalgravitation. Some of the other things that he did that impacted society today are that he invented calculus. His impact was that he formed the modern mind, before Newton'ssynthesis, these ideas were considered stories. He set the foundation for modern society in mathematics and science.

As most people know “ it’s what you do thatgets you to be recognized later on ”. This is something that most definitely goes with Sir Isaac Newton, because what he did almost 400 years ago still impacts ustoday. And probably if he hadn’t discovered what he did, we would be … Well, I think you can figure that out for yourself.
