The Indian government wants access tothe messages and e-mails sent on blackberries, yet the messages are automatically encrypted and it is impossible to decode them. In addition, Blackberry has a policy that specifies their inability todo special deals with specific countries. These sorts of requests have happened before, so Blackberry is looking for a solution. If one is not found, the shutdown will be on the 31st of August.India is a market with high expectations for smart phones and mobile devices. If the blackberry is banned, as well as Skype and other communication services (Indian government have also threaten to shutother communication companies), India might be risking their economic growth.
