Entrance is free since 09:00am to 5:00pm, here you can find event rooms, exhibition halls,a library, an auditorium, a lake, a small country village, coffee shops, an ecologic place, a Scientific Building, plants collection, and a laboratory.

The stillness of Nature can beexperienced in the Botanical Garden. It's a wonderful way to enjoy the calm of a large and beautiful park in the middle of the city. It is perfect for recreational activities, scientific research, andenvironmental education. Adults and children alike can relax in this garden endowed by Nature. Also people can read, share with their family, go to listen music, go to eat. It is a greenbelt area in theheart of the city where people gather to bike, hike and engage in water related activities including canoeing and rowing. There are also options to ride horses in the area which is a favoritecountryside past-time.
We can walk through the park along its paths and the first place we can see after the entrance is: The tropical Forest:
This is a surprising variety and a large selection ofplants, flowers, and birds. It shows the stratification of a forest, the vegetation and floor plans. By its microclimatic conditions and diversity, it is home to many species of fauna. Inside of theforest has been created a natural outcrop for the water that comes from. You can escape from the noise of the city.

Another place is: Francisco Jose de Caldas Lake

It is a reference ofnatural wetland ecosystems, which disappeared from Medellin because of the urban development in the city. Its origin is a combination of natural outcrops and artificial interventions; it is permanenthabitat of a lot of animal species. There are many ducks.
