Jazz
The Jazz Ensemble I, performed its first piece entitled Tres Minutos con la Realidad, by Astor Piazzolla, this song was POLYPHONIC, with a highrange of DISSONANCE in its CHORDS, with ALLEGRETTO TEMPO in some parts; for me it was a combination between TANGO and JAZZ. The second piece, entitled No greater Be-Bop, by Tom Kubis, included threeSOLOS of trumpet, saxophone and trombone. The ensemble made an accompaniment while each of the instruments played their SOLOS. The third piece, Angel Eyes, by Earl Brent and Matt Dennis, written in 1948,started with an ADAGIO TEMPO and a PIANO DYNAMIC, most of the CHORDS were CONSONANCE, which made this piece very enjoyable and easy to follow. The fourth song Nica’s Dream, by Horace Silver, startedwith a SOLO guitar with a MODERATO TEMPO, this piece was very happy and fun to watch. The last song performed by the Jazz Ensemble I, entitled Sweet Georgia Brown, by Maceo Pinkard and Kenneth Casey.This piece was performed with an ALLEGRETTO TEMPO; and an incredible trombone SOLO was played with accompaniment.
