India's second-biggest airline by market share posted a profit 1.06 billion rupees ($22.9 million) in the three monthsended Dec. 31, compared with a net loss of 2.14 billion rupees. Net sales, however, fell to 27.23 billion rupees from 29.09 billion rupees. "Passenger yields are up 15% over (the same quarter) lastyear," M. Sivakumar, Jet's senior vice president for finance, told reporters, referring to revenue per passenger. The company said trend for the next few months looks healthy and it expects to see arevival in demand for premium services in the next few quarters. The company has no plan to add any aircraft for the rest of the year, Executive Director Saroj Datta told reporters. Jet shares gainedafter the results.
