1. How well has Steve Jobs done as Apple’s CEO? Has he done a good job of performing the five tasks of strategic management discussed in Chapter 2? Why orwhy not? What grade would you give him?

R= He done it very well that’s fact, I think that he believed in his product and he had a very special point of view about a lot of things, he made thisindustry what is now days, all the eyes of the competition are on Apple, all their consumers feel that they are one step up than all the other companies. With all this points we can tell that Steve Jobs isone of the persons that did this strategic management points better.

2. What are the chief elements of Apple’s strategy? How well do the pieces fi t together? Is the strategy evolving?

R= Theyhave a lot of products in the market and they work for these products to be like no other one, we can analize it from the very beginning of the company with gui operative system, they were concern tohave that technology and be different, another important part of the Apple strategy is the innovation, just analizing the figures in the mp3 sector with the ipod a project that doesn’t seem to havethat great future we can say that those are the two basics element of the strategy of Apple.

3. Does it make good strategic sense for Apple to be a competitor in the computer, digital music player,and mobile phone industries? Are the value chain activities that Apple performs in computers, digital music players, and mobile phones very similar and “compatible” or are there very importantdifferences from product to product?
