LAB 1 - JOB SHOP SYSTEMTask 1
Computer Integrated Manufacturing
Solve the following exercise using the software provide in the laboratory (Szeregowanie zadan) with all the different methods and find the best solution. jVj TECHNOLOGY 1 10 M1(10) – M2(20) – M4(5) – M3(10) 2 10 M3(10) – M4(15) – M2 (25) 3 0 M2(5) – M1(5) – M3(15) 4 20 M1(5) – M3(20) – M2(20) We input the data in the software as follow: Dj 55 60 25 651

Comparison chart between JobShop methods METHOD Cmax Fsr FIFO 85 52.5 LIFO 105 52.5 SPT 85 52.5 LPT 95 52.5 LWR 105 52.5 EDD 95 55 With this information, we can agree and choose as the best method for this exercise, the FIFO(First Input First Output) and SPT (Shortest Processing Time) because both methods have a minimum Cmax (85) than the other methods. These methods are best also because the job shops system has a delay in3 of the tasks; if we eliminate the delay and we set that all the tasks will start at 0 times, all the results will change and now the best method will be a different one. Each method has animportance and is use depending of the behavior of the system (the input data) and what the designers really want from the system. Task 2 Improve the Cmax (decrease) result of the methods of the first task,“INCREASING” the time of any task in any machine I select to change this input data: task 3 of the machine 2 from 5 to 15 The input data chart will be as follow: j Vj TECHNOLOGY 1 10 M1(10) – M2(20) –...
