Presentation Stage

Activity 1:

1. Students arrange their desks in a semi-circle and watch the “People videosong”. (Annex # 1) 2. Then in groups of three, students write down on their notebooks as many jobs and occupations as they can remember from the ones they watched in the video.
3. Again in the semi-circle, students watch the video onemore time and check the names of jobs and occupations that they wrote.
4. The teacher explains the question “What’s going down?” "What's going down?" means "what's up?" at that moment of time. It has a similar meaning as "what's happening?"
5. The teacher gives the students a worksheet. (Annex # 2)
6. The teacher reads the names of the occupations and the students draw lines to match theoccupation with the picture.

1. Students sit on the floor in a semi-circle and pay attention to the “Jobs and Occupations” power point presentation. (Annex # 3)
2. The teacher reads each sentence aloud and slowly.
3. After the teacher finished reading all the slides, she asks the students to say what they remember about the sentences the teacher just said.
4.The teacher shows the “Jobs and Occupations” power point presentation again.
5. The teacher gives the students a worksheet with the same sentences of seven jobs from the presentation, but with different drawings. (Annex # 4)
6. The teacher reads the sentences and the students look for the corresponding picture and match them by drawing lines. All the students do the exercise at the same timealong with the teacher.
7. Students color the drawings as they want and paste the worksheet in their notebooks.
