John Lennon

I am going to talk you about one of the most important pacifist musician, his name is John Lennon.
I chose him because, for me, he was a great musician and also he with his wife Yoko Ono, showed howthe music could help to get a peaceful world. He was born in 9th, October 1940, in Liverpool. It is in England. His mother was Julia Stanley and his father was Alfred Lennon. John had a difficultchildhood because, when he was 4 years old, his mother left him with his aunt. Sometimes she visited him but, in the short time that they spent together, Julia taught him how to play the guitar. Also hisfather left him but, he appeared when John Lennon was a famous artist. One of the most difficult moment that John had, was when his mother died in a traffic accident, he was seventeen years old.John Lennon liked music and arts so, he studied Arts in Quarry Band College, here he met with Cynthia Powell, who some years later, was his first wife. Also John played in a band and he met with PaulMac Carney, He invited to John to join a new band. John and Paul began to compose different songs and two years later, in 1960 some members joined, they were George Harrison and Ringo, and then theywere called THE BEATLES
John Lennon got a successful career with THE BEATLES. They were and are popular all around the world. The Beatles played high quality music and with a simple style. The four guysgave presentations around the world and they were so popular. Each guy had a different personality and, John Lennon was the artistic and rebel guy between them.
In 60s, all young people thought thatTHE BEATLES were perfect and their music too but, in 1967 their manager died and John Lennon got married again with a Japanese girl, Yoko Ono. It was like the beginning of the end.
When John andYoko went to Gibraltar in order to celebrate their honeymoon, they did a peaceful protest, they stayed in bed and let their hair grew until the Vietnam War finishes. It was called HAIR PEACE AND BED...
