Armin van buuren nació el 25 de diciembre de 1976 en Leiden, países bajos, es un dj y productor de música trance. El asido nombrado el mejor dj del mundo en el 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 y2012 siendo el único dj capaz de lograr este título por cuatro años consecutivos teniendo en total 5 galardones.
Armin van buuren también tiene un importante programa de radio llamado a stateof trance que cuenta con quince millones de oyentes.
En 2005 fue galardonado como "Mejor Radio Mix Show DJ" y como "Mejor Full Lenght DJ Mix Cd" con Armin van Buuren.
En 2006 queda denuevo en primer lugar en la aclamada lista Top 250 DJs Pool DE TRANCE ADDICT
En 2007, por votación fue elegido como mejor DJ del mundo según la afamada publicación DJ Magazine. 
En 2009 recibelos premios de "Mejor DJ De Trance" y "Mejor DJ Internacional"
En 2010 se mantiene de nuevo en primer lugar en la aclamada lista Top 250 DJs Pool DE TRANCE ADDICT.
En 2012 vuelve a ser elnúmero 1 rompiendo todos los records.
