Index of the characters

Stephany: Was from Britain. She liked her job, a language teacher and lives en London with Max. Shewas intelligent and serious.
Also liked to enjoy herself. She liked going to clubs and parties and doing sport. She like the sushi.

Max: He is an architect, lives in London with Stephany. Didn’t like sport, he enjoyed looping at building and paintings, He like the sushi and he liked her more because of it.

Carlo: Ruth’s wife. A friend of Stephany’s, lives in Genoa, Italy with Ruth. He issurveyor.
He was very honest and he said he would do something he always did it.

Ruth: Had met Carlo in Italy, she was working in a restaurant. They had married, she had left her own country and moved to live with him in Italy.
She had two children and they had lived in the flat in the village by the sea for a while. Ruth had wanted to move a bigger house in the town.
Felt jealous of Stephany.Carlo’s parents: Mother and father lived in the flat next door and his uncle and aunt and cousins lived opposite. There was also a grandmother who lived above his parents.

Summary and ‘word bank’

Chapter 1 In Camden Town
Stephany and Max decided go on holiday for Italy, in a beautiful village on the Ligurian Sea at the flat of Stephany’sfriend Carlo.

Chapter 2 In Genoa
Stephany by phone calls home from Carlo and his wife Ruth replies, and asks if he can go and spend a few days there, she said yes because I like Carlo but really she wants just the opposite because he does not want New in your life.

Chapter 3 A good friend
Carlo called to Stephany say he agrees with his visit, but Stephanie feels a little concerned about whether they will be a hassle and you have noticed something odd about Ruth.

Chapter 4 I don’t trust Stephany

Chapter 5 In a village by the sea

Chapter 7 A difficult dinner
In the bar Stephany explains to Max that Carlo taught waterskiing, seemed to like them jealous. Ruth is angry with Carlo because it helps with the children so Max decides to go for a walk with her and the children. When told to go back to a fun festival the following day four.
