H E Born in Finland in 1945. Studied Graphic Design at theSchool of Industrial Art in Helsinki. After his graduation in 1967, worked two years in an advertising agency. Since 70’s works as a freelance graphic designer specialized in illustration and posterdesign.

He has an unmistakable style. is based on simple shapes and gestural lines, flat colors and bright, and minimal presence of text.

* In the stamp series were presented some of Finnish design classics: Alvar Aalto´s Aalto vase, Kaj Franck´s Kilta tableware, Bertel Gardberg´s Carelia cutlery, Yrjö Kukkapuro´sKaruselli chair, Annika Rimala´s TasaraitaT-shirt and Timo Sapaneva´s Cast-iron pot.

With all of this work, he has become one of his countrie’s maximum reference in the field of graphic design.

H E Hasbeen a teacher of Art and Design at the University of Helsinki and also he made poster workshops. Lectured in Moscow, Osaka, Stockholm, Seoul, Brno, Quito, Beijing and Shanghai. Was named GraphicArtist of the Year in 1990. Has been as a juror in numerous competitions, Was President of the International Poster Biennale in Helsinki. Is a member of Alliance Graphique International.
