Kingston
Kingston is the capital and the largest city of Jamaica, It is located on the southestern coast of the island.

The centralzone of Kingston is formed on two parts: the historical one, but troubled center and New Kingston in which they find the majority of the tourist attractions as " Bob Marley's Museum ", constructed inhis former residence.
Other attractions include Hellshire's nearby beaches and Lime Cay, the National Gallery of Jamaica, Port Royal's ruins and the mansion of Devon House, with an adjacent parkthat belonged to the first black millionaire of Jamaica.
Religion
There is a great variety of Christian churches in the city. The majority of them are Protestant, a legacy of the British settlingof the island.
There is a Jewish synagogue in the city, as well as a small number of Buddhists and Muslims. The principal one is not the Christian religion but the Rastafarian movement.Demography
The majority of the population has African inheritance. The oriental Indians are the most important second racial group, followed by the Chinese, those of white race and the Arabs (principallyLebanese). A small number of Hispanics, in the main proceeding from Latin America, also reside in the city. History
The city was founded in 1693 by the Britishers after an earthquake was destroying almost everything the former capital, Port Royal. The city turned into theheadquarters of the administration of Jamaica into 1872. It supported this status when the island reached his independence in 1962. On January 14, 1907, an earthquake happened in Kingston provoked thedeath of more than 1.000 persons
