Enterprise, Rent-a-car.

1. Define motivation, explain how two approaches used by Enter prise Rent-a-car to motivateemployees fit with either Herzberg's or Maslow's theories of motivation.

Motivation is a driving force within an individual to do something well, it is particular to an individual so it is important toknow what factors drive each person.

Maslow identified a hierarchy of needs that people want to fulfil through their work. These employees needs include:

- Self Actualisation
- Self Esteem
-Social
- Safety
- Basic Needs

Herzberg showed that real motivation comes from within. Good pay and working conditions. Opportunity to set personal targets.

In Rent-a-car i think Maslows theoryapplies more because employees always ask for more and here they get what they need.

2. What is the culture of an organisation? Explain, giving examples,The Enterprise culture.

The culture of anorganisation is formed when you have: (Managers and Team Leaders)

- Good Relationships
- Clear Communications
- Adequate Resources
- Encouragement
- Recognition

Example:

- An employeethat has good relationships with their friends, partners and family.
- An employee that can tell you whats wrong, what he needs.
- An employee that has what it takes to do each task.
- An employeethat has motivation and does everything with pleasure.
- An employee that knows what hes done, how hard he has worked and prizes he has received.

3. Analyse ways in which "The Vote" could encourageEnterprise employees to create high levels of customer service.

The Vote aims to support and encourage the development of exceptional customer service. It encourages Enterprise employees becauseeverybody ranks everybody and decide who does an exceptional service and who needs help, that way everybody gets better in what they do.
