Hi everyone!



I'm Pepi and actually I live in Barcelona for 6 months ago. I'm 26 years old. I live with my boyfriend and one friend in a flat in Sants. Ilike so much my neighborhood it's full of shops. I work in a clothing store and in a record label. I love music. I like so much go to music festivals and concerts,watch films and read books. I miss a lot my family, my parents and my sisters, I have three sisters, all older than me. They are living in Sant Celoni, is near fromBarcelona, but I don't have enough time to go visit. I hope the course will go well.

JUST SOME TIPS:

*After the verbs like / hate / love you must write a gerund (Infinitive+ing). Ex: I like playing gamesand reading. I don’t like doing the housework. I love dancing. I hate washing up.

*When you talk about age in English you must use the verb “to be”, never “to have”as in Spanish. (Els anglesos són anys, no tenen anys) Ex: He is 25 years old. NOT He has 25 years old.

*Before jobs we always use “a” (or “an” if the job beginswith a vowel). Ex: I’m an electrician. I work as an engineer. I’m a student. I work as a teacher.

*Word order in English is different from Spanish and Catalan:Spanish and Catalan → noun + adjective. English → adjective + noun. Adjectives in English are always written before the noun. Ex: a Chinese restaurant, a good job.
