❖ Título:
“La imagen de la ciudad de Nueva York y de sus ciudadanos en la película Manhattan de Woody Allen”

❖ Resumen:
La siguiente investigación tiene como objeto el análisis de la imagen de la ciudad de Nueva York, y de sushabitantes, mostrada por Woody Allen en su película “Manhattan”. De aquí en adelante, trataremos de ver si se trata o no de una imagen estereotipada o sesgada de dicha ciudad, intentaremos examinar los significados implícitos que el director neoyorquino nos quiere transmitir a través de la ciudad y de los ciudadanos que viven en ella. Veremos si nos encontramos ante un reflejo real de laciudad, o si por el contrario se trata de una visión de la ciudad idealizada por el director para lo que estudiaremos también, los mecanismos o recursos utilizados por Allen para ello.

❖Abstract:
The subject of this research is to analysis New York’s and its citizens’ image that is showed by Woody Allen in his film “Manhattan”. From now on, we will try to see if it is, or not, a stereotyped image of this city. We will try to consider the implicit significance that this New Yorker director wants to convey by means of the city and citizens who live there.
We will seeif we are faced with a real reflection of the city, otherwise, it is an idealistic foresight of the director. To that effect, we will also study the mechanisms or resources used by Allen to do that.
