Páginas: 4 (910 palabras) Publicado: 19 de abril de 2011
Gabriael is different than any other character in the Dubliner, one different is that he realize he didn’t want to be one of the people in Dumbling more, so he decide he was not going to stay inIreland, he wanted to be a world person, be educative, and he did it.
May be on his way to accomplish all this things he forgot about some other important thing in life like family, love, and the loveone have to have to its owe country. He become on a way egocentric, but not just because he decide to be this way, also because the people around him make him feel this proud of his own self. In theChristmas party is when one can see the real Gabriel, a person that is not as confidence as he claims his self to be, and probable for the lack of spiritual experiences that we know in the end he neverhas.

Many people must say that “the dead” is the end of his life and that he will bethis way forever. I think When Gabriel has his epiphany, he understand his self better, and he realize of how sad his life have been in the spiritual way, or how “dead” his heart has been all thistime, and no just towards woman, but in the meaning of the real happiness. When Gabriel sees the snow covering all Ireland and he starts thinking about dead, he understands he does not have to diedwithout feeling all this things that Michael or his wife have felt.
However, he is not completely dead he have a chance, and I think he realizinng he is been living of just material matters say a lotabout him and a probable change. Also Gabriel have time to change, he is not ill as Michael was, and he is smart enough to do so if he wanted to. I think Gabriel feels bad about him self but also hiswife that is been living with a memory of a dead person just because himself was paying more attention to his galoshes.
I think for Gabriel is going to be difficult to change in the beginning...
