On December 2010, both inflation the consumer and producerrecorded a worrying jump.
The monthly change in December consumer prices of 0.65% was the highest in the last 11 years for that month. The harsh winter was certainly the main cause of thisacceleration in inflation. The food line was a monthly increase of 1.65% and 0.65% of transport. "

Interest rates in Colombia are reflecting a situation of abundantliquidity, the result of lax policy by the monetary authorities.
At December 31 payment methods (MI) increased at a rate of 17.7% , as compared with 8.3% the last year. On the other hand, the annualincrease of broad money (M3) was 11.4% vs. 7.7% at the end of 2009. These increases are much higher than consumer inflation of 3.2% per year.
So far this high liquidity growth has been reflected inthe revival of domestic consumption and a significant increase in imports. And obviously manifested in historically low interest rates. "

Durante the thirdquarter of 2010 Colombia's GDP increased by 3.6% over the same period last year.
This growth contrasts with the annual increase of 4.4% and 4.5% during the second and first quarter respectively.In January-September year to date increased 4.1% to GDP compared to the same nine months of 2009.
On the demand side, stands in the third quarter increased household consumption by 4.3%, 3.6%...
