The Beatles


They were an english rockband, created in Liverpool in 1960. The were very successful and acclaimed. From 1962, the group consisted of John Lennon (who plays rhythm guitar and vocals), Paul McCartney (Who plays bass guitar and vocals), George Harrison (Who plays lead guitar and vocals) and Ringo Star (Who plays drums and vocals)
They built their reputation playing clubs inLiverpool and Hamburg over 3 years since 1960. Sutcliffe left the group in 1961, and he was replaced by Ringo Starr the next year. They reach success in the United Kindom in 1962, with their first single called ‘‘LOVE ME DO’’. They won international popularity and had tours until 1966, then they stoped recording in studios until their break in 1970.
There have won a lot of awards along theircareer.
Lennon was murdered by a crazy person outside his home in New York in 1980, anda Harrison died of cancer in 2001.

Formation and early years (1957–1962):

Aged sixteen, John Lennon formed a group called The Quarrymen, in March 1957. Fifteen-year-old Paul McCartney joined as a guitarist after he and Lennon met that July. When McCartney invited George Harrison to watch the group he joinedas lead guitarist. By 1960, Lennon's schoolfriends had left the group, he had begun studies at the Liverpool College of Art and the three guitarists were playing rock and roll whenever they could get a drummer. Lennon's fellow student Stu Sutcliffe joined on bass in January. Sutcliffe suggested changing the band name to "The Beetles" as a tribute to Buddy Holly and The Crickets, and they became"The Beatals" for the first few months of the year. After trying other names including "Johnny and the Moondogs", "Long John and The Beetles" and "The Silver Beatles", the band finally became "The Beatles" in August





George Harrison:

George Harrison, (25 February 1943 – 29 November 2001) He was an English musician, guitarist, singer-songwriter, actor and film producer who achievedinternational fame as lead guitarist of The Beatles. Often referred to as "the quiet Beatle", Harrison became over time an admirer of Indian mysticism, and introduced it to the other Beatles, as well as their Western audience. Following the band's break-up, he was a successful solo artist, later a founding member of the Traveling Wilburys. Harrison was also a session musician and a film and recordproducer. He is listed at number 21 in Rolling Stone magazine's list of "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
Although most of The Beatles' songs were written by Lennon and McCartney, Beatle albums generally included one or two of Harrison's own songs, from With The Beatles onwards. In addition to his solo work, Harrison co-wrote two hits for former Beatle Ringo Starr, as well as songs forthe Traveling Wilburys.
Harrison embraced Indian culture and Hinduism in the mid 1960s, and helped expand Western awareness of sitar music and of the Hare Krishna movement. With Ravi Shankar he organised a major charity concert with the 1971 Concert for Bangladesh.
He was married twice, to model Pattie Boyd from 1966 to 1974, and for 23 years to record company secretary Olivia Trinidad Arias, with whom hehad one son, Dhani Harrison. He was a close friend of Eric Clapton. He is the only Beatle to have published an autobiography, withI Me Mine in 1980. Harrison died of lung cancer in 2001.










Ringo Starr:



Richard Starkey, (born 7 July 1940) better known by his stage name Ringo Starr, is an English musician and actor who gained worldwide fame as the drummer for The Beatles.When the band formed in 1960, Starr was a member of another Liverpool band, Rory Storm and the Hurricanes. He became The Beatles' drummer in August 1962, taking the place of Pete Best. In addition to his contribution as drummer, Starr featured as lead vocals on a number of successful Beatles songs (in particular, "With a Little Help from My Friends", "Yellow Submarine", and The Beatles version...
