FUNDAMENTACIÓN

En el presente trabajo conoceremos la importancia que tuvieron las mujeres quienes no sólo ayudaron sino que protagonizaron hechos esenciales de la Revolución de Mayo. Fueron hijas, esposas, madres y hermanas de hombres notables, integrantes de la elite criolla, que buscaban reformar el panorama político y social de la época; muchas de ellas sabían leer yescribir y actuaban como transmisoras de las novedades que surgían en torno de las disputas por el poder en estas tierras y en el extranjero. Patriotas interesadas por el surgimiento de la Nación se comprometieron con esta causa y, de hecho, abrieron las puertas de sus casas para ser las anfitrionas de reuniones sociales donde se hablaba de arte, religión, economía y política.
