From 20th to 21st Dec, 2011 an Exhibition was organised at Swaraj Sansthan, Rabindra Bhawan Complex by Bharat Kee Parmanu Saheli- Dr - Neelam Goyal. The subject of the exhibition was “The Need ofElectricity for the all-round development of India and in this the importance of a significant contribution of the Safe & Clean- Nuclear Energy- for the generation of electricity & Myths Vs Realityabout Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Power Plants in India”
Honorable Energy Minister (MP)- Shri. Rajendra Shukl did the Inauguration of this exhibition. Directly, around 2000 to 3000 people were made awareof the importance of Nuclear Power and the reality.
Honorable Minister of Energy and Mining cited that not only for the economic and social development but also for a well developed infrastructureElectricity is only the base or backbone. He mentioned that in India Electricity is being produced by the all available sources and in which Coal & Hydro (water) sources are prominently being used, butto meet our electricity demands we have to go through such a source which is long-lasting as well as safe & clean. He referred that in India per year only 700 unit per capita being produced while inthe well-developed countries like USA, France, Japan & other overseas, it is from 5000 to 15000 units. He advocated that we must have to use
Nuclear Energy Source to generate the requisite demands ofelectricity as this is safe & clean in all respect, our nation is having a huge amount of Nuclear Fuel, great Scientists, Engineers, man Powers and the related Technical Expertness. He informed thatpresently only 28 unit of electricity is being produced by this source and in future it is proposed to generate 2000 unit by this source alone out of 5000 unit of the total proposed. He added that thedeveloped countries are producing electricity by the nuclear source from 22 to 83% while in India it is only 3%.
He advocated the need of awareness in Indian about the Nuclear Power.
