Letter To Helsinki

Dear Friend,
Hi! I’m writing you from Helsinki, Finland’s capital. I have been here for a couple months, it’s an amazing place; I am really happy. Yesterday Ivisited the famous Lapplands LÄN, near the famous city of Rovaniemi. Lappland is located in the artic circle. It offers a lot of things to do, like hiking andskiing in the winter or just admire the lovely boreal aurora into the sky. It was amazing. Last week also, I visited the Ortodox Cathedral of Uspenski, located inKatajanokka. It is a Russian architectural cathedral build by Aleksei Gornostajev. This country is unquestionably beautiful, during the trip to the lake Vesijärvi,located in the south part of the country, in Lahi. I saw a lot of farm pigs and horses… and wild bears and wolfs. I took a lot of pictures of the landscape andof everything I saw. I wanted you to see all that nature and wildlife. I’ll send you some pictures later.
The next week we will visit one of Finland mostremarkable town, Turku. It’s located in the South East of the country. In Turku we will get to the Castle of Turku, one of the oldest castle in Finland, build in thedecade of 1280’s. It’s a very important landmark.
One of the most interesting places to visit is the Suomenlinna Fortress (Finnish Fortress). This fortress wasbuilt on 6 islands in Helsinki to protect the country from the Russian expansionism. It‘s a part of the Humanity world heritage and it has a really grown tourism. Iwish I could visit it sometime but is really expensive to get there by boat.

I’ve been having a great time here, I met some new people but I miss you anyway!
