Napoleon was born in Ajaccio, Corsica,on August 15th 1769 to Carlo Buonaparte, a lawyer and political opportunist, and his wife, Marie-Letizia. The Buonaparte's were a wealthy family from Corsican nobility.
Napoleon was an enthusiastmilitary dictator with an exceptional skills. He knew that the only way for civil war to finish was with a strong hand leader. Napoleon was a dreamer he often picture himself conquering and anempire that covered not only europe but all the world. more over as a military leader Napoleon manage to go from victory to victory. and with all the victories his military reputation and his ego grewbigger and bigger.
Napoleon at only five feet tall did not look as a typical military hero. His physical disproportionated with a large head, piercing eyes lack of manner and abrupt man made him onemost infamous dictators of Western Europe. He never showed tiredness or complained on front of the troops. He also was self confident person ho inspired confidence and loyalty from his forces. Hecould conceive and execute complicated military campaigns, which resulted in a string of victories, helping Napoleon swiftly work his way up the military ladder.
In 1796 Napoleon was placed in commandof troops in Italy and perfected mountain warfare technics in the Alps. Once again he won the soldiers admiration and their loyalty key factors in his gaining power on the yeas to come. He knew howto please the crowd, whether it be soldiers, country peasants or citizens of Paris. In his race to seize power Napoleon would take full advantage of his talent until declare himself Consul for life in1801.
