Researches show us that men and women have different style of communication; Let´s take a look to know what it is happening.
Debora Tanned has studiedthe ways that men and women communicate; She said when a man establishes a conversation, He tryes to emphasize his status. On the other hand a woman wants to create connection.
Some examples of thisare, men said women always talk about their own problems, at the same time she is thinking for independence, when women said that men never listen. Finally when a woman talks about a problem, she wantsto get support and connection and when a man starts talking, he wants to get advice of something.
There is another point of view in men´s communication; they try to be more directly than women andwomen start saying indirectness. So men are thinking that they are “sneakys”, but women don´t care about it. For consequence, men criticize women for apologizing, but for women it´s an arm that alwaysuse to express regreat.
In conclusion, there is a big problem to establish a conversation between them. I don´t want to say which is good or not, because both are important and more than it, aconversation needs to be successful.
In my opinion everybody needs to establish a good relation in order to take decisions and work as a team.
Let´s start answering the following questions:
1. Whatdifferences do you see in men´s and women´s communication?
They have a different style of communication however; they need to understand each other in order to establish a good laboral relationship andto obtain the best benefits for the company.
2. Have these differences ever gotten in the way of working together?
Yes, sometimes both of them cannot establish a good conversation with womenbecause, they don´t understand them and women are no clear and some can be offended and think that men didn’t pay attention or they didn´t listen carefully.
