La evaluación neuropsicológica ecléctica
comprende la aplicación de test diseñados
para identificar cambios en las funciones
cognoscitivas, que al ser analizados por un
neuropsicólogo, constituye uno de los
insumos para el proceso diagnóstico. El
desempeño en los test depende de
diferentes variables como la edad, la
escolaridad, el sexo y la presencia/ausencia
delesión cerebral. El objetivo del presente
trabajo es mostrar los resultados en
diferentes
test
utilizados
por
neuropsicólogos para medir atención,
memoria (Verbal-visual), función ejecutiva y
lenguaje, los cuales fueron aplicados a 141
personas
de
ambos
sexos,
sin
antecedentes neurológicos o psiquiátricos,
residentes en el área metropolitana de
Bucaramanga y en edades entre 9 a 16años. Para el análisis por edad, se dividió el
grupo en 2: El grupo 1 conformado por
personas entre los 9 a 12 años de edad y el
segundo grupo entre los 13 a 16 años de
edad. Se reporta la comparación en el
rendimiento según variables como edad,
nivel de escolaridad y sexo. La presente
investigación
mostró
significancia
estadística según edad en el TMT A-B, en
el test de retención visual deBenton
(TRVB), en el test de fluidez verbal
fonológica y en el test de Stroop. Solo se
encontraron diferencias por género en el
test de vocabulario de Boston y en el test
de retención visual de Benton. Las escalas
de función ejecutiva, atención, lenguaje y
memoria visoconstruccional mostraron una
correlación moderada y significancia
estadística.

Summary
Eclectic testing used in neuropsychological
assessment involves theadministration of a
variety of test designed to identify changes
in cognitive functions. The analysis of the
test results by a neuropsychologist is part of
the diagnostic process. Test performance
depends on variables such as age, sex,
level of education, and presence / absence
of brain injury. The objective of this paper is
to present the results in different tests used
byneuropsychologists to measure attention,
memory (verbal-visual), executive function
and language. The sample included 141
children of both sexes, ages 9to 16 years
without neurological or psychiatric history
and residents in the Metropolitan Area of
Bucaramanga. In order to conduct analysis
by age the sample was divided in two
groups: group 1 comprised of children ages
9 to 12 years old and group 2including
children from 13 to 16years of age. Internal
consistencies according to variables such
as
sex,
level
of
education
and
socioeconomic position are reported. The
present study found statistically significant
differences by age in the performance of the
Trail-Making Test (TMT) Trails A-B; the
Benton Visual Retention Test (BVRT), the
Test of Phonological Verbal Fluency and theStroop Test. Gender differences were found
only in the BVRT and the Boston
Vocabulary Test. The scales of executive
function,
attention,
language
and
visoconstructional memory showed a
moderate
correlation
and
statistical
significance.
