In the world today, soldiers that come back from war have to deal with many issues that affect them for the rest of their lives.

23 Year old Robert Acosta, a former armyranger explains the injuries he suffered while he was at war In the documentary The Ground Truth: After the killing. A grenade was thrown at his vehicle he then tried to grab it to try to throw it back butthe grenade fell between his legs, when he tried to grab it again, he had it on his right hand when the grenade went off and took his right hand, broke his right leg, and his left leg shattered. “Itdidn’t hurt but it confused me” He said. When people hear about soldiers being injured they’re probably like okay well he’s just wounded, what they don’t know is that soldiers get seriously injured inAfghanistan. It’s not like they’ve been shot on the arm or the leg or perhaps just burned them a bit but their wounds are severe. There are three types of injuries, number being bullets and bombs,psychological injuries, and number three being endemic disease. These injuries can be loss of arms, legs, severe burns, and even maybe loss of eye sight.
George Orwell was an inexperienced colonialofficial in the early twentieth century in British ruled India. He was hated by the Thyestean and he didn’t like the Burmese, he described them in the story as yellow faced and evil spirited. He got acall saying that there was a loose elephant and he had to do something about it. He then grabbed his gun and went looking for the elephant as a crowd of people followed him. Unlike the soldiers Orwellwasn’t in much danger, all he had to do was find the elephant to avoid destruction. When Orwell finally found the elephant he stopped he didn’t want to shoot but he didn’t want to feel like a foolwith that entire crowd staring at him. The elephant could’ve injured Orwell and the people so the elephant was a threat to the town and himself. He knew he had to shoot him. When a soldier feels like...
