Academic Information (16/11/2010) 1. General Information
The Macromedia University offers the following Bachelor Programme (B.A.) in English at the Munich and Hamburg campus: Media and Communication Management (7 semesters) Intake: WT 2011/12 – Deadline forapplications: 15 of August 2011 All courses are subject to the current General Examination Regulations for Bachelor's degree programmes and the respective course and examinations regulations. Periods of study, course work and examinations passed in other Bachelor's degree courses or at other universities may be recognised, provided that they relate to an equivalent course of studies. The studentmust submit a written application, with the relevant certificates, to the chairman of the Board of Examiners.

2. Terms of admission
Admission to the MHMK is granted accordingly to the Free State of Bavaria Regulations on Qualifications for University Studies (§43 of the Bavarian University Regulations) as lastly amended. For the English Bachelor Programme it is required either theinternet-based TOEFL-Test of a minimum of 81 out of 120 points or the IELTS of a minimum of 6.5 points. Under these regulations, the general school leaving certificate (in Germany “Abitur”) or the entrance qualification for universities/universities of applied sciences (“Fachhochschulreife”) is mandatory. School leaving certificates obtained at non-Bavarian institutions are to be officially recognized asequivalent. Further requirements for admission are the aptitude test and the interview (see below 4. Application procedure). 3. Student Advisory Service
The Student CounsellingService and the Central International Office will assist you in all decisions and will respond to your questions, also in technical and immigration matters. 4. Application procedure
The application papers are to be submitted in writing along with the application forms available at the MHMK. Please download these forms here: www.mhmk.de/en or request them at the Student Counselling Serviceor to be sent to you by post. The deadline for application for WT 2011/12 is the 15th August 2011. Applications which arrive later shall be considered for enrolment, when applicable, for the waiting-short-list. 4.1. Application At MHMK the application procedure for all Bachelor programmes comprises 3 steps: Step 1: Submit application portfolio with the following documents: MHMK application formcompleted and signed. Copy of ID card/passport. Signed CV with recent photo. Certified copy of entrance qualification for universities, alternatively university of applied sciences entrance certificate (“Fachhochschulreife”) (see above - 2. Terms of Admission) Certificate on the school leaving certificate from Certification Agency for the Free State of Bavaria (Zeugnisanerkennungsstelle) (see above"Applicants with foreign educational qualifications"). Proof of work experience or internship. Non-EU applicants: residence permit. Proof of valid health insurance. Other certificates on voluntary work experience and placements.
