ABSTRACT
This study has the objective of establishing the incidence of Listeria monocytogenes
in non-pasteurized cow’s milk sold in the municipality ofPamplona, Colombia.
Transversal descriptive studies were done and applied to a pre-coded survey with
the objective of determining the number of routes and the volume of milk carried on
each routeand taking a stratified sample of about 200 sample cases. The test of
absence/presence of L. monocytogenes was used and the described technique
given by INVIMA was applied; for the confirmation of thespecies the technique PCR
multiple was employed amplifying the region 16sRNA and the gene hylA. The results
obtained pointed out that the Municipality of Pamplona has 19 different nonpasteurized...
