THE REAL ME

Some people say thaneverybody wears a mask, than people pretend to be something is not, to succeed, to delight, to live, but eventually this masks are removed and we can have a huge surprise.

The reading “Jack andAlice” by Jane Austen is about human behavior and feelings; envy, betray, love, and how can be found in the world.
Jane Austen was a writer who uses a special sense of humor and irony on her writings,this reading describes in a very particular way an entire society, living of appearances.
We find on the reading a different types of human behaviors, at the beginning on the Masquerade, thecharacters are defined by their mask and dressed.

Charles Adams is the symbol of the fake perfection, the ideal man which almost none woman can resist; handsome, intelligent, and wealthy, he believeshimself to be perfect and he wants to find a woman as perfect as him. Despite all the women want to be with him, he makes clear than they are not even a tiny part of what he is and wants. In the Masqueradehe did not wear a mask, because he did not need it, his personality shines by his own, he is what he is and he does not want to be somebody else.
The Simpson sisters are a symbol of jealous,Caroline envies her sister Cecilia and want to be like her, that’s why she disguised of sultana, to be prettier than her, and finally Cecilia turns out to become in a sultana and Caroline in a duchess, abigger titled that her sister’s .
The envy, malice, hatred are symbolized by Sukey, she could stand others persons succeed, it is very common nowadays, people instead living their lives are worry forsomebody else life’s, like Sukey who rather kill Lucy than let her be happy.
