Lo Original Y El Aura

In the ideas presented by Walter Benjamin in his 1936 essay ‘The work of Art in the age of mechanical reproduction’ the capitalistic production was in it infancy. Marx directed his effort to predictthe conditions underlying this mode of production, base not only in the exploit of the working class sector of the society, but also, he predicted conditions that could abolish the capitalism itself.The social institutions in the Marxist theory, ‘The Superstructure’’, took more than half century to manifest the changes in all the parts of the culture of this condition of production.

The worksof art made by man can be reproducible and imitated by man and the man machines created for mass reproductions.
As an exercise of the learning process, pupils and students have made copies of themasters of works of art; and there are others who made copies for profit.
Because that, Benjamin Walter write about the lost of the Aura trough the mechanical reproduction of the work of art.
TheAura for Benjamin, represents the originality and authenticity of a work of art that haven’t been reproduced.
The Aura of the painting is pure and is a work of art unique and original.
The paintingcan be copied, or his image can be copied but what can’t be copied is his authenticity. That is to say, the Aura can be copied.
The photograph is an image captured from another image, a reproductionof the reality under this point of view.
From a negative it is possible to create many copies but it doesn’t make any sense as asking if the image is original or not. The photographs can bereproduced by many kinds of technology, but what can’t be reproduced is the original moment – the place, the time and the day- when the image was produced or created.
The sense of Aura is lost in thecinema; however, the technology created to reproduce these images means an historic change.
