1. Introduction
The purpose of this document is to describe the process ofupgrading a server from any previous version to version 6.1.0.0. If you have any questions after reading this document, please contact your local LiveU professional services team or email us atsupport@liveu.tv (international) or help@liveu.tv (US & Americas).

2. Single instance
        Uninstall the existing version Install the new 6.1.0.0 version Start the LU1000 If this is a firsttime installation, a license error will pop, please send the license request to support@liveu.tv – make sure to send the license key in a text format and not in a picture. Go to configuration tab andconfigure the ports and output Check the “Auto Start” checkbox Apply the changes Press “Start”

If you already have the IFBServer application installed please remove it and install the new versionassociated with LU1000 application If you haven’t used the IFB application yet, you can install it (optional) and refer to the IFB guide for further instructions how to use it.

Uninstall the existing version
Delete all additional LiveU directories (besides “C:/Program Files/LiveU”) Install the new 6.1.0.0 version To create additional instances – A. In‘Program Files’ folder – create a copy of the default ‘LiveU’ folder and rename it (e.g ‘LiveU2’) B. Go into the shortcut ‘AppData.lnk’ from the original ‘LiveU’ folder and browse one folder up C. In thisnew path, create a copy of the default ‘LiveU’ folder, which has to be in the same name of the corresponding copy in ‘Program Files’ folder, (“LiveU2’ in this case) D. Change the ‘appData’ properties in“Program Files/LiveU2” to point to the ‘LiveU2’ folder that was created in stage C via the shortcut properties
