Bath: only two hours from London is the city of Bath, so named because 2000 years ago was used by theRomans as a thermal bath. Since the recent appointment of the city as a historical Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO) and the reopening of the thermal baths (only in England), the influx of tourists to the cityhas increased to such an extent that it has become one of favorite destinations in tourism in England. Of note is the large number of hotels and spa offering thermal baths in Bath, but mostlypreserved in excellent condition original Roman baths, a historic site of prime importance.
